About Teide National Park

Teide National Park, in the centre of Tenerife, was inscribed by UNESCO in 2007. It holds the Teide–Pico Viejo stratovolcano, the highest peak on Spanish soil, which rises about 7,500 metres from the ocean floor and is regarded as the world’s third-tallest volcanic structure; a “sea of clouds” often lies below it (UNESCO). The park runs from Canary pine forest at about 1,600 metres to the summit, with the red tajinaste and the Teide violet among its plants (MITECO).

Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Teide National Park before you go.
